About

Meet Kimberley

Care for Feet Ottawa was founded by Kimberley Laviolette, a Registered Nurse and dedicated foot care nurse.

After years in pediatrics and clinical teaching, Kimberley completed specialized foot care training and started Care for Feet Ottawa to bring professional foot care to people where they’re most comfortable: at home.

As Care for Feet Ottawa grows, every nurse on our team provides the same safe, gentle and personal care that Kimberley built the business on.

All instruments are professionally cleaned and sterilized according to IPAC, CSA and Public Health standards. Care follows the College of Nurses of Ontario’s practice standards and best practice guidelines.

Frequently asked questions

Is foot care covered by insurance?

Some insurance plans cover foot care, but not all do. After your visit you’ll receive an invoice you can submit to your own insurance company. Check with your provider first, since some require a doctor’s referral.

Do I need a doctor’s referral?

Not to book with us. Some insurance companies require a referral before they will reimburse you, so check your plan if you plan to submit a claim.

How long is a visit?

An initial appointment takes 60 to 75 minutes and includes a full assessment. Follow-up appointments take 45 to 60 minutes.

What do I need to get ready for my appointment?

Very little! All you need is a comfortable chair or recliner, ideally in an area with good lighting. Your nurse brings everything else.

How much does it cost?

Initial appointments start at $70 and follow-ups start at $60. Specific treatments are extra; ask about pricing for a particular treatment when you book.

Which areas do you visit?

Ottawa East, including Orléans, Blackburn Hamlet, Gloucester, Cumberland, Navan, Vars and the surrounding area. If you’re close by but not on the list, call us.

Can I book for a parent or family member?

Yes. You can book online on their behalf or call us to arrange a visit.
